Left on the Move Left on the Move Left on the Move

In this Newsletter, we highlight midterm elections in the United States. Pedro Fuentes analyzes the results that reinforced the political and social polarization in the country governed by Donald Trump. Ben Beckett and Meagan Day (members of the DSA) make the political balances of the elections from the point of view of the American left.

In Bolsonaro’s Brazil, the left debates the new situation opened by the electoral earthquake that raised the presidency plus a right-wing puppy of Donald Trump. We share in this bulletin the text of the balance sheet and the political framework of the Esquerda Socialista Movement, as well as an article by Bernardo Corrêa on the centrality of the struggle for justice by Marielle in the relentless struggle against bolsonarism.

About Latin America, we selected an article by Dan La Botz about the caravan of Honduran immigrants who are moving towards the Mexican border with the United States. Against the repression and authoritarianism of Daniel Ortega, we reproduce the declaration of the Executive Committee of the IV International in solidarity with the Nicaraguan people.

We wish everyone an excellent internationalist reading!
